Sajid received a Diploma in drawing, painting and printmaking, J.N.T, University, Hyderabad (1983-88) and a Masters in Fine Arts (Painting and Printmaking) Central University of Hyderabad (1989-91).

His solo exhibitions include J.N.T University, Hyderabad (1986 and 1988) Kalayatra, Bangalore (1988) Central University of Hyderabad (1989 and 1991) Gallery Espace, New Delhi (1991,1994 and 1998) Society for Promotion of Art, Hyderabad (1991) and Pundole Art Gallery, Mumbai (1999, 2004 and 2008).

Sajid has received University Gold Medal in M.F.A. Painting, Central University of Hyderabad (1991), Junior fellowship Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Department of Culture, Government of India Andhra Pradesh State, Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad (1997 and 1998).

The Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal and the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi have acquired his work.

The artist lives and works in Hyderabad.
